Our Facilities

The sprawling Ludlow campus has been on the banks of the river Hooghly for nearly a century. With multiple manufacturing facilities, offices, living quarters, medical and educational facilities, our campus has over 100 buildings as well as roads and railway lines.

The manufacturing establishments include water reservoirs and a rooftop solar power generation, in addition to a presshouse, and selection and baling. At the centre of all this is one of India’s largest modernized jute mills, which is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and is capable of producing high volumes of the finest products. Our current capabilities in the year 2020 include:

  • Spinning up to 50 metric tonnes of jute yarn per day, ranging 4.8 lbs to 500 lbs. We can make upto 8 ply yarn.
  • Producing up to 2.3 million metres of hessian fabric per month, between 10 cm and 320 cm wide in GSMs ranging from 80 to 724.
  • Weaving up to 220,000 metres of leno weave fabric per month, between 250 cm and 508 cm wide in GSMs ranging from 44 to140.
  • Making up to 90,000 metres of felt (non-woven) fabric per month, between 50 cm and 200 cm wide in GSMs ranging from 250 to 1000.
  • Processing up to 650,000 metres of fabric per month in the dyeing, bleaching, and stiffening plant.
  • Manufacturing as many as 325,000 Shopping Bags/LifeStyle Products per month.
  • Producing up to 7 million sacking bags per month, both food grade and non-food grade, as per buyers’ specifications.
  • We also have our own in-house research and innovation department, where our experts constantly study and help improve our raw materials, our processes, and industry practices.

  • Geo jute, a natural alternative to synthetic fibres also used in the construction of roads.
  • Agro fabric, a weather resistant fabric laminated with rubber solution and used in weed control.
  • Hydrocarbon-free food grade packaging material, ideal for packaging food products such as coffee, cocoa, and nuts.
  • Leno net fabric, which protects the soil surface from wind and water erosion while offering partial shade and heat storage to accelerate vegetative development.
